Gardenscape 2010

Last weekend was the garden show here are a few pics from the show. I was playing with long exposures to blur the water some were up to six seconds long.

Great day on the ice

The day was warm and sunny and I should have used sunscreen. Ice boaters and Andy were out when I got to the lake so I set up and worked some of yesterdays sore spots out with the hair of the dog. If it stays this warm then the ice will be gone soon.

The wind picked up after noon and I packed up and headed home to dry things out.

Keepin' up with the ice boats

I can feel the crash coming. I fitted a pair of children's downhill skis with back country XC bindings and tested the theory today. Zoom, zoom, zoom, I was keeping up with the ice boats going way to fast. Conditions were perfect for skis and you could carve a nice turn in the crusty surface of the ice.
I got home and ran out to photograph a couple young bucks in the corn field behind the house. Surprised to see one still carrying his antlers.
